Our dog training, for any age, can help you and your dog live happily together, at home and on-the-go, with a balanced training approach.
“We cannot express enough gratitude. We have three dogs with different levels of needs. We learned about the psychology of our dog’s breeds and how to not only manage anxiety and breed behavior but how to keep focused on being consistent dog parents.
Scott and Jess gave us the ability to communicate with our dogs, recognize their needs, and keep them on a good path. We couldn’t say enough amazing things about the tools they’ve given us! Truly the best!”

In these highly focused classes, Scott works with your dog to achieve consistency through basic skills where you can repeat success in-between classes. He teaches you how to ensure your dog’s behaviors continue once you are home alone or out and about in the world.
These classes are customized to fit the needs of your family. You choose the frequency of the obedience training sessions based on your schedule, goals, and Scott’s professional recommendations. These classes place more of the training responsibility on the owners versus the Doggy Boot Camp program where Beyond the Leash trainers are the ones responsible for your dog’s foundational work.
Our dog boot camp is an intensive, boarding and training program, followed by handler sessions – the perfect option for people who have little time to devote to training a dog. Whether you dog needs basic obedience training or is needs to overcome severe behavioral issues such as anxiety or aggression – we specialize in it all!
Beyond The Leash trainers introduce your dog to as many different circumstances as possible training them 2-3 times a day while they are being boarded. The longer your dog stays with us, the more exposure we are able to provide.
Between dog training sessions, your pet will receive affection, potty breaks, scheduled meals, and treadmill workouts.
At the end of your boot camp, you’ll schedule your handler sessions where Scott will teach you how to work with your dog.
These sessions will make your pet’s training long lasting and effective.
If you have already completed a program with us, we welcome you to join a group dog training class!
Dogs progress at different paces and come in with a wide variety of behavioral issues, which is why we individualize each training program to suit your specific needs on the front end.
Beyond The Leash group classes are an excellent way to reinforce training and expose your dog to numerous controlled distractions similar to what you would encounter in the real world.
Book your in-home hour long session where Scott will observe, evaluate, and recommend solutions for your dog training problems and perform a single dog training session, which includes providing you with several tips and techniques to help manage your dog’s issues immediately.
“After a couple of years of health issues, our three-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog needed to get back to some ‘puppy’ training. Being a large breed dog, we just couldn’t have her keep jumping up on us and every visitor, counter surfing, digging, etc.
After about two minutes, Scott knew exactly what we were dealing with. Through all of her health issues, vet visits, surgeries, and procedures (plus some hereditary factors), our girl had some significant anxiety issues.
They gave us a great foundation to work with and a great understanding of the behaviors that are impacting our girl. We will continue to work with Scott and Jess and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for behavioral-based training.”
